Edgeband not Subtracted from Part Size

Post by Nat Wheatley »

On the cabinet in the file below, when I add an RTA fitting to the top, and nest, it doesn't seem to be subtracting for the EB on the front edge of the top. When I first added the part, and added edgebanding, before selecting the RTA construction, the part size was coming out ok. It was only after adding the RTA option, that the size no longer seemed accurate. (File was created in metric)

Nat, I can't get it to work on any cab in the CE. It shows correctly on the cut list.

This is what I end up when I nest that cabinet. The top and deck should be the same, both are edgebanded on the front edge only (.5mm EB).

Or the cutlist, which doesn't seem to include the top, and is showing, what I'm guessing is the middle (fixed) shelf as 568.82mm H instead of 572mm.

I've read of the issue of the RTA fittings (some show up as red, some blue). I'm guessing its may be causing the other issues?

Corrected the length of the fixed shelf - values for left and right inset weren't set at 0. (Sorry on that, I'm new to the program.

The top still isn't showing up on the cut list...

Nat, I changed the right side of the Top KD settings to Butt and it showed up in the cut list. Then tried to set it back to KD, and it was gone.

Anyone know what might be causing this?
