Making doors in your shop

Has anyone made this door in your shop with out a CNC Router
Be for I show the customer I would like to see how hard it would be to make :?:

George,
The door itself looks like just simple rails and stiles. If the stiles have a flat (not contoured) inner edging where the decorative muntins, etc are going, it shouldn't be too hard to do. The trim should be fairly easy to curve, place and glue at the center joining point. I would build it so that the glass pane is fully rectangular and sits behind the curved trim not into it. You might want to have a flat panel with some non-glue sticking cover (wax paper?) taking the place of the glass during glue up to make sure the trims sits flat when placing and drying.
It would definitely be worthwhile to have a door maker quote on it and if their price fits into your quotation, why not let them do it?

To me it looks like a mdf door with veneer. Should not be that hard to do. Like Peter says use a single piece of glass. Make a templet to pattern route the Archs from the front and then route a rectangle in from the back half way through. Its the kind of Job that make you wish you had a cnc. You would have a half dozen cut within an hour. Another option would be to have a production sharing member make you a set of templets

I will get back to you in about 2 hour's with my templet if the templet looks good I would like to try to make one Sun.I am make a set of stairs Sat. for Mon. just 12 steps horses,Treads,Risers

I all most for got one thing I got 2 rolls in the shop. I hate to use it up at a $1.00 a roll

nice looking doors ,better you than me.We made something similar a few months back and two of them took two days to make!!
