Rain, rain, go away!!!
I, Dennis Blackburn and other members in the deep south have complained about drought for the last two or three years, but enough rain already--the drought is over now and we are drowning! We have had rain at least three days a week since the beginning of the year and are now in our sixth week of rain every day!
What say you Dennis---enough already?
How about the rest of you--want some rain? Take ours for a while.

My wife says God is in control and he knows what is best. I say - keep the rain coming as long as it doesn't interfere with my bicycle riding or gardening. I did 77 miles last weekend on the bike and got all my yard work done as well as getting 6" of rain. Our lakes are still down about 2 feet. AND keep the Georgia rain coming down the rivers to Florida.

This year is the first time in recent memory that I recall Lake Allatoona (near Cartersville GA) having water come all the way up to the historical water's edge. I'm not sure how other lakes, like Lanier, are faring.
Re: Rain, rain, go away!!!
Dan,
We are happy to let you have it. Here in Hoosier territory, while we had a great day for the Indy 500, we have had more than our share of rain. Lst week's crop report shows Indiana is only 67% planted and historical averages are in 98+%. That does not bode well for the price of corn and beans for us consumers, not even to mention the price of gasoline / ethanol.
So keep the rain while we try to feed and fuel the world from here!

Here in NC I've had to mow my yard the last 4 week with wet grass. Only once did it have enough time to dry out good enough. But I say bring the rain so these weather people will stop being so over dramatic!

We are actually supposed to be getting a few days respite from the rain starting today. My wife insisted that I have the pool open last weekend (Memorial Day) and the water is still about 65°F.

Rain???
Did you guys take pictures?
We don't see that climactic event very often, the sun gets in the way.
Reporting from the desert,

Re: Rain, rain, go away!!!
Double it and add 30 to change C to F. At least you guys have summer,we are freezing down here and wet.Dropped to 6 c the other night.(or 6+6+30=42F)

Re: Rain, rain, go away!!!
That's a pretty good approximator Al.
For those that want precise conversions, here is the formula:
F=((C*9)/5)+32
31C=87.8F
((31*9)/5)+32
31*9=279
279/5=55.8
55.8+32=87.8
For F to C, here is the formula:
C=((F-32)/9)*5
90F=32.22C
((90-32)/9)*5
90-32=58
58/9=6.444
6.444*5=32.22

Re: Rain, rain, go away!!!
Dan,
I thought it was 32 Kilofagums/footpound, or are you discounting extraneous readings from the zodes?
In either case, a serious shift in the algorithm will cause a weather depression and ultimately, a singularity?
Much safer here in the desert. We have no weather, just temperature. Keeps it simple.
Happy thoughts,
