Adding Strecher problem

I successfully adjusted the toe kick width for a ¼ inch dado along the length and butts against the two ends. I’m trying to add a stringer, inset 1 inch from the rear of the cabinet with the same ¼ dado. I get the rear stringer placed properly but the ¼ inch dado does not show up on the bottom of the deck (like the toe kit does) and the green dado secondary operation lines do not appear when the parts are nested. The back stretcher is the right width to accommodate the dado depth and placed properly on the ends so its flush with the bottom of the cabinet etc. What am I doing wrong?
