Printing Labels

Post by Steve Detina »

Not sure if this is in the right place but a little while back the boys at thermwood changed how we print from the machine. When the change was made we lost the ability to print out just bar codes. Is there anyway we can get that back. We often print just bar code for the offalls because we do not need all the labels for the cabinets or components.

thanks

Steve,
I'm with you on this... We've been throwing away a lot of labels just to get that off-fall label.

You can still print only the barcoded labels, but it's a bit confusing now. When you're at the print dialog, you have a button that says "Select file" or something similar. Click it, and you'll get a file list of the different labels. Look for one that has the word "barcode" in it, along with the number of the label you're using.

Hopefully this gets you going... I'm not at the machine right now so I'm doing it from memory. (And my memory SUCKS. LOL)

Jeremy,
Thanks for the heads up.... I was a bit surprised that it could have been removed.
Thanks,

Re: Printing Labels - Off-Falls Only

Post by Brad McIntosh »

Here is a label formatted to print ONLY OFF-FALLS...

:!: >> No warranties are expressed on implied. The label has been tested but it's use is your own responsibility.
  • Download and save the attached ZIP file to your Desktop.
  • Unzip the contents and copy the "30252_Address_Barcode_Off_Falls.RPT" file into the "C:\Rolling Nest\Labels\" directory on the Thermwood controller.
  • Make sure to select this new label format to print labels with barcodes for OFF-FALLS ONLY.
(Here's to saving labels if you don't need them all! :D )

Cheers!

Re: Printing Labels - Off-Falls Only Updated

Post by Brad McIntosh »

I have updated the above "custom" label I had posted previously to indicate the SHEET and "Part #" associated with the Off-Fall.

:!: >> No warranties are expressed or implied.
 (If you had tried out the earlier one, make sure that you over-write it with this newer version.)
  • Make sure to select this new label format to print labels with barcodes for OFF-FALLS ONLY.
