Dumb as a Rock?
I must be dumb as a rock. I never use inset doors, but for the first time have an application and cannot find where to set the option for the cab doors to be inset. The help info refers to setting this option, but does not disclose where it is hidden. I'll bet someone is going to tell me it is right in front of me. Where is it?

Re: Dumb as a Rock?
OK, OK, I figured it out, but there really is no specific check-off box to make the doors inset. DUH

Re: Dumb as a Rock?
I do have a question, what should I allow as a standard all-around spacing to allow for door movement not to bind on the face frame when opened and using Blum hinges.
Thanks.

Hi Peter,
3/32 is pretty common, you can back bevel your doors and this also helps..

Re: Dumb as a Rock?
Absolute minimum is 5/64". And I really like the look of this spacing much better than 3/32".

Peter,
3/32 will be just fine, if you were going to use a furniture type barrel hinge then that's a different story.

Re: Dumb as a Rock?
Gary,
I spoke too soon. Since I answered your query, Client decided to use an finial hinge with mortised hinge plates.
Only a few doors are inset. All the rest are non-mortising finial hinges on an overlap door.
Thanks
