Changing doors in batch cabinets
Hi folks, I've looked around and can't find the answer - is there a way to change doors in batch cabinets? I've got slab plywood doors, I want to change the material - any ideas?
Thanks - Jason

Jason,
In a room you can change doors but in batch I think you will have to take each cabinet into the Cabinet editor to change doors.

Yah, I suspect you're correct there. Drat.
Whilst I've got you - did they get rid of some shortcut keys - ie: pressing "L" to load item...? I've only started digging into v6, so I'm kinda fumbling here.
Thanks - Jason

Yes, it would really be nice to be able to change anything in the Batch Editor that you can in the Custom Layout Editor.

Re: Changing doors in batch cabinets
Until you are able to change doors etc. in batch why not use this method.
When I want to nest multiple rooms of cabinets together I simply create a large rectangular room and drop all the cabinets into it. I can group each rooms cabinets together for visual reference and ease of editing and I can globally change materials and doors as well as nest all cabinets together. This is just as easy to use as Batch.

Re: Changing doors in batch cabinets
Thanks for the suggestion Kerry - that's what I usually end up doing (except I just use a single wall instead of a rectangular room). It does make it a little more complicated if I'm generating line drawings and renderings though - I have to delete the "batch" walls and save off a separate "render" job. Also it makes things run a little slower, since it has to generate all the cabinets together - and more slower is less gooder.
In the meantime, I will bear the burden and continue onwards. Thanks much - Jason

Jason,
This is an issue that has been fixed for the next release. Be patient, and we will have the Cabinet Features tab added and working in the Batch in a similar manor to how it works now in the Custom Layout as Kerry suggested.
Thanks for posting this miss.
