edge banding thickness issue

Hi Guys,
I am still running production with v-5, so this pertains to v-5
I have just rebuilt 3 librarys with 150 or so cabinets.
some where along the line I had 3 eband thicknesses get changed to 0 thickness
I have went into the material and changed the thickness to appropriate thickness.
Now when I open a job with any of those three jobs, I get the add material screen, I can not seem to pick a alternate material(nothing available),so when I hit yes it changes the thickness of my edgebanding back to 0...
I do not beleive I have had this problem before, is there a way to get around this, I sure dont want to pull all those cabs back into the editor and apply a new banding to them, I just want to change the thickness on existing banding and get it to stick....
