V. 6 Build 4 crashing

Post by Al Navas »

Sorry - I posted this in the Beta Testing forum...

Hi, folks. Back after a long absence.

I started using V6 Build 4 version, and kept getting the following error on ModName nvoght.dll, due to a "compatibility issue" (but I did not save the report generated at crash time):

It seems the problem was due to my use of some cabinets I created with 5.2, and did not convert to V6. I have not any issues with the job since then. Has anyone experienced this, or is it a bug needing a fix?

I use the following: Dell Precision M90 2GB RAM, 1.9 GHz, InterlCore T7200 @2.00GHz

Thanks!

From what i found, the nvoglnt.dll is driver for the graphics card. I would try updating your graphics card and see if that takes care of the issue.

Thanks, James.

So, if it is the video card, is the Quadro FX 2500M obsolete with eCabs?

hmm... I hope it does not mean it is time for me to upgrade the laptop

Al,

James means to update the Graphic Card Drivers.
For a laptop you will need to go to your laptop manufacturers web site and see if there are any new graphic card drivers available for your specific machine.

Update:

One of the DLLs was damaged. I re-installed the M90-"certified driver" from the Dell web site, as the nVidia drivers did not work (NO idea why...)

It seems this has repaired the problem with V6-B4 <keeping fingers crossed...>
