Unable to install files from library.

Post by Richard H Molinar »

I’ve been browsing to see if anybody was experiencing the same difficulties when trying to install items from the downloadable library. Files download without a problem; it’s the installation that stops well into the installation process and generates the Error notification, (Error 1334. The file Catalog.8.0.50727.762.66332652_9C28_58B1_FF1F_C8B3B9A1E18E’ cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet ‘Data 1. Cab’).
Well I’m glad I came upon some posts with the same problem, I now know that it’s not something that I did and can stop trying to figure it out. I’m sure there will be a fix soon.

Did you figure out the cause of the problem? I too am running into this. The computer I have Ecabs on is not yet connected to the net so I save them to a thumb drive but they don't install and I get the same message.

Thats exactly what I have had for a problem but it does not give me an error message. I asked here but I could still not get it to work. I guess I may have to hook it up to the net and try that. I am trying to keep my work computer off of the net to eliminate the headaches.

OK so now I connected to the web and upgraded to version 4. I still get the same problem. Is there a fix for this? Am I missing something on my computer?

I downloaded the frameless corner cabinet library, and it worked fine. The procedure I used was; download and save file to desktop. With all other programs closed, install file, and this was on my xp machine.

Rick,

You may have hit on something. I think eCabinets must be closed to install the files.

Ecabs has been closed. I guess there is some problem with my computer as my old one would work with version 5 on it.

Lorin,

It seems like this was discussed on another thread and there was a fix but I can't find it.
Give Thermwood a call.
