Re: Enviro Plus
Hi Jason,
Sorry this is not about your polish but about your furniture production.
I was wondering what you did with the production software you developed for your factory. Did you ever consider turning it into a saleable product?
If it linked in with Ecabinets it may result in recouping some of the development costs?
I believe it was fairly advanced in what it did.
Regards
Neville

Re: Enviro Plus
Hey Neville,
I would be interested in this question also. I had spoken with Jason about this when they were working on the furniture and at that time I think they were doing all the designs in eCabinets. Did they switch to another software?

Re: Enviro Plus
Hi Neville and Kerry,
We used eCabinets to create the furniture library and once an order came in, someone would load the products into the batch, output the TWD file and then send to the machine via the network. This is how Quickcut came about.
Are you talking about the online configurator? We developed an online ordering process where the customer would be able to select any of the furniture products online with the different finishes and sizes, and the dealers would be able to easily change pricing and print literature when needed.

Re: Enviro Plus
Hi Jason, I may have my story wrong. I thought you had a production management program so you tracked the product through its manufacturing stages.Keeping track of materials ordered in for stock and time scheduling?
I think your Dad had a story on the forum about it. He was looking for a commercial product but they were not suitable. So just wrote it himself.
The dealer program sounds like a good concept. It could be a good program to be adapted for us Thermwood owners. If it could have a internet database where Thermwood designed catalogue cabinets were offered then the order would be sent to the nearest Thermwood owners based on zip code and willingness to be involved. A commission would be then paid to Thermwood for running the service. It some ways its a extension of the Ecabinet concept for another financial reason to purchase a Thermwood?
Opps got side tracked again.
Regards

Hi Rick,
That part # doesn't look familiar to me but I have never had a problem with any of their other products.
