How would I add crown molding to this assembly?

Post by Donald Thomson »

I've attached a kitchen I'm working on and was wondering - the cabinet over the refrigerator has a side panel on each side. The cabinet is inside these side panels. I need to add crown molding around these side panels and the front of the cabinet. I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to show and explain to me how to do this operation.

Thank you!

Hi Donald

I make my cabinets the same way, If you make your Panels out off a Cabinet with everything removed but the 2 sides, you can add the moulding to that. my inside cabinet has no moulding.
save it as an assembly and it rezises in 2 steps

Don,

I just created a cabinet that is 1" tall that has crown on it that I can re-size and wrap around different cabinets.

Fred's way is probably best for the way you are building the cabinet. You will have a cabinet that is just end panels.
