The first time you open a v5 file in v6 it should convert the file automatically.

Josh,
Thanks, that is probably the case. I just assumed that they weren't because they are still in a directory called V5 Cabinets and occasionally when I open an old job the system asks if I want to convert the cabinets to V6. I just never had the time to do so.

Brent,

When you updated versions of software from V5 to V6, eCabinets saved your V5 files to a different location from the V6 files. This was so that it does not overwrite your V5 files (just in case there were some problems in the transition between versions). V6 has proved itself very stable so if you need the jobs etc. you have saved in V5 I would let them convert and save them to the new location so you have ready access to them.

Thanks Kerry. Next time it asks I will let them convert. I was hoping to do it when I had some down time. It seems whenever the opportunity comes up I'm in the middle of something and don't have the time.

Takes quite a while to convert. Make sure you aren't in a rush when you are doing it. Probably easiest to do it overnight.
