Elevated room

Post by Greg Nagy »

Hello experts,

Is it possible to make elevated rooms in ecab system? There is a step at the middle of the room, 150mm high. What is the simplest way to make this?

Greg,
You could insert a display cube on the floor to raise it up. The cube could be made with the same pattern as the floor if you wish.
Hope this helps,

Thanks Josh, thats a good idea.
By the way I think there is a bug in the program. In the Custom Layout -> Render View, right click menu: Texture options->Wall/Floor->Change Texture, there is no OK button in the pop-up window, so I can't modify the texture. Is it only for me, or it is really a bug?

Hey Greg, you can modify the texture in Custom Layout, right click and select Custom Layout Parameters. From there you can change the default wall image, then in Render mode you can right click and select the Texture Options. You are correct, the change texture option does not work from that menu.

Greg,

In custom layout/Render View when you click the change texture options you will get a dialog that allows you to pick a texture image then you mouse over the wall or floor that you want to change, hold the ctrl key on the keyboard and the cursor will change to a paint roller and then left click to apply the image.
