Door desighner question

Post by Scott Marshburn »

Is there any way to create a display door in door designer without the edge banding?

You can create a slab door with 0 thickness edgebanding that is the same color as the sheet stock if you need to make pe cuts on the display door. If you do not need pe cuts, then you can use an mdf door.

For a case like this, you should use a display panel. Then use the user part name feature to label the display panel as a door.

Scott,

Use an MDF door created using your material of choice and then de-select any tooling under the tools tab. This will make a slab door without edge banding.

Thanks Rick that is what I will have to do but this method will not allow me to have the door actually on the cabinet without making it an assembly. I was hoping to avoid that by using a display door instead as all of the doors and drawer fronts for this job are made like the one I posted. Also any hardware holes will have to be placed manually .I could live with the visual deal but that does not look good for a presentation. Also how would the machine react?Maby the option to remove edg banding from display doors could be added?
