Fixture offsets / flip operations

Post by Jim Carter »

Machine does not cut panel at fixture offset settings in y direction only.
I input panel to be cut manually 30 x 96, nest it, write cnc and cut it. No problem cuts to the correct size.
Without moving panel I move the router the same distance in the x and y direction as the fixture offset.
But the center of the tool is 3/32 off the board (the one I Just cut) in the y direction only.
I just cut cabinet boxes which the flip operations are off about 3/32 but only with cuts parallel with the grain, which coincides with the 3/32 off of the y dimension in offset 1.
In Control nesting, settings, nesting parameters, I unchecked collar.
In control nesting, settings, placement pins setup, I checked use placement pins m61L1 on and M62L1 off, flip operations is unchecked.
In control nesting, settings, fence/fixture & park locations Use fixtures offsets is checked g52L1,
Flip operations G52L1. X Y adjust is checked on both of them.
I tried to describe this as clear as I can, I know its confusing.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Your Fixture offset is not set correctly. If you perform flip operations first and then flip the whole sheet and it is not correct on the y axis, then you need to change your fixture offset by half the error. If you are flipping the parts one at a time, you will need to change the offset by the value of the error.
