Profile modle- No data found

Postby Alex Bowler » Mon, Apr 16 2012, 5:29PM

Hi,

I would like to start using the profile modeler but i am unable to load any job. It comes up with an error message saying
no part editor data found in database.

What do i need to run it?

My main use would be to machine miters that i apply in part editor.

Alex,

You must have a {profile cut path} before you can load the item into Profile Modeler. Profile modeller only machines these type cuts/operations. How did you create the miters?

Hi,

I created a tool using shape manager (v cutter) then applied that to the part using profile edge. Do I import the hole cabinet or just the part with the miter?

Alex, You would create CNC from the cabinet, assembly, or job and then load the *.twd file that was created. If you continue to have trouble with this, please attach the cabinet here and I can try it.

Hi,

I am still trying to get the modler to work. I did the sample exercise in the manual and everything worked okay
except it would not create the CNC file. It comes up with an error message say cannot create out put file then the file name.

Any ideas?

This is because the output folder does not exist for some reason. Simply create a folder { D:\Data\Profile_Modeler\CNC-Files } on your machine and then it should be fine.

Hi Scott

Getting there it is working on the simple parts now. When I applied an inset carving to the side of a cabinet and tried to import
it in to profile modeler it came up with an error message saying no part editor found inside data base.
