Quick question/ survey. Looking into any chemicals around the shop for cleaning my tool holders, head cover, and i.d. of the receiver. Was told to use demineralized alcohol and a brass brush. What do you use?? Just met with a Onsrud saleman, and of course he was pushing their solutions, with a nice price tag.
Only reason I ask is because either im not doing something right, or my holders are beyond cleaning.

May I suggest... FSP0114 - CMT Formula 2050 Blade and Bit Cleaner

Re: Cleaning Questions
Scotch Brite pads are good for tool holders. This eliminates any residue leftover on holder to further collect debris.

Re: Cleaning Questions
I use Mirka Mirlon Total, extra fine grit. These pads are just like scotch-brite but they last much longer and they cut very fast, meaning less time to clean all that stuff off. They leave a beautiful polish shine too so I can comb my hair after I clean my toolholders

Re: Cleaning Questions
What grit scotch brite- pads should I use on tool holders? I ordered some general purpose (7447) to try, is this too aggressive, should I use ultra fine 7448 instead?
