Enhancement Request

Post by Josh Rayburn »

Could the CNC button in Control Nesting write CNC but not close the window?

I've wasted many sheet and label printouts: sometimes you don't realize there's an error until you click the magic button and when you've got to go back and fix it in ecabs, then rewrite a twd, then renest - it's not always exactly the same.....

It would be nice to write the CNC first, verify there are no problems, then print the sheets and labels. Or at least have the option to do so.

That's a great idea Josh.

I've been thinking it would be nice to be able to name the NC file when it's created instead of automatically over-writing the existing file. I've run jobs with a large number of parts in two different materials. I create the NC file for the first material, then forget to rename it before creating the same job with the second material. No chance to go back to the first material to remake a defective part.

Dave,

That option is available. Go into your settings and click the CNC Filepath button. Uncheck "enable cnc quick write". THis will have it prompt for a file name then.
