Closet suspension rails

Post by ScotAcree »

Would like to know what an appropriate size to make the notch in a Partition for the suspension rail to fit into. The Camar rail looks to be 1" in height. Not sure on the depth of it.I have a couple threads that I read on the forum on the topic (http://www.thermwood.com/forums/viewtop ... ion#p64990),and the notch height looks to be 4".Not sure why, when the suspension rail is an inch in height.Probably for the adjustment for the knock in dowel brackets I am guessing.

The notch is 4" so that you can install the cabinet on the rail without a fight.

Sent this info in a PM, but thought that I'd post here as well:

Here are the item numbers for the Hafele hanging rail and brackets that I use. Both the rail and brackets come also have plastic covers (separate product numbers):

290.11.901 Hanging Rail
290.02.711 Left Bracket
290.02.710 Right Bracket

The brackets attach with 2 - 5mm screws. The extra height in the rail notch is for up/down adjustment.

Attached is a file of a shelving section that shows the height of the notch I use.
