Re: eCabinet Systems Version 6.0 Build 10 is so 2012
I have been thinking the same thing Neville. It seems that eCabinets has been on the back burner for quite a while.
I would really like to see some things like the ability to lock openings and a dedicated drawer stretcher. (the fixed shelf with back inset works but must be adjusted with each change in cabinet depth.) This has required us to create huge cabinet libraries to accommodate different depth cabinets. We need more functionality in the way drawer boxes and slides are added as well as improvements in cutlists. I have to take sizes from eCabinets and transfer them to spreadsheets to get a functional door and drawer box cutlist.
I also could use a better way to create elevations for submittals and shop drawings. These are so time consuming that I dread them and if the design should change I have to start from scratch. Design is the major constraint in our shop. The sales are there and the production capacity is there, they are just waiting on me.

Thanks Leo, The original post effort was rewarded by watching the late great John Belushi. I didn't remember that song. Ah, but I was so much older then
I'm younger than that now.

We assemble with confirmats drilled on a horizontal drill and would love to see the ability to add a 32mm drilling pattern for assembly. As it is now we need to add the holes each time we change the depth of cabinets. It has been a long time since we have seen a new version or even a indication it is being worked on or what improvements are to be included.Kerry Fullington wrote:I have been thinking the same thing Neville.
