Help with machine settings back up
We just installed a new hard drive on our machine and have got every thing in working order. Now I would like to back up all of these settings I.e.. Tool manager, Tool groups, Fixture offsets, Set switch spoil etc. Could anyone tell me where to go to and what files I need to save in order to keep these settings for safe keeping just incase this happens again?

Re: Help with machine settings back up
Hi Scott,
At home I use cloning software that makes a bootable clone of the whole drive on a SD card (and also on a second internal hard drive). If the main drive fails, I could boot from the SD card or the internal drive, with no lost time. My wife's HD recently failed and being able to boot from the clone is just awesome.
I wonder what TWD thinks about cloning the controller drive?

Re: Help with machine settings back up
It would seem that there would be some way to backup the control kind of like the back up in eCabinets

Re: Help with machine settings back up
Thermwood has a utility for gathering machine information, I don't remember what it's called. I have an older version - so I would recommend emailing the support crew and requesting their updated version or whatever might be appropriate for your particular machine.
Hope that helps!
