Noy a very good explanation, but the pics will tell the story. Can anyone tell me why these spindles keep dropping down and why aren't they user serviceable (that I can see). This would be the third or fourth time this has happened. The internal drill keeps dropping down over time and then gets down too far and we have to replace it. This is the main drill on 5 bank XandY drill bank.
The bottom drill is new, the top one the main shaft of the drill has dropped a good 6mm - 1/4 inch. It is not possible for us the get the main shaft back up in the cylinder.
