Lock Dado w/ Pocket Screw. Spot hole w/ fixed shelf?
Playing with this new (to me) joinery.
I can't seem to get a spot hole (on part with dado) when using this joinery on a fixed shelf (yes, box for spot dado is checked on add shelf settings).
Works on deck and top.
Am I missing something?

It works fine for me. Can you post the cabinet.
Are the pocket holes there? If not are you taking the cabinet into shelf and partition editor and applying the lockdado with pocket screw there?

I opened construction settings on the fixed shelf (2nd one up from deck) in the main menu and after closing all the windows it rebuilt WITH spot holes.
Then after adjusting some other parts....pooof, it's gone again.
I took a screen capture in case it reappeared.
Cabinet attached is without spot holes.
Odd.

Steve, in preferences change the rendering in CE and see if that helps keep the holes visible. It may slow your computer a bit so you could adjust accordingly. Also just to verify if they really are gone take the cabinet into nesting.

Hey Forest,
Detail in preferences for cabinet editor is set to max already.
Nest shows no spot holes on fixed shelf, but does show them on deck and top.

Steve.
I downloaded your cabinet and took it to the cabinet editor. I took a look at the settings that you had set for fixed shelves. That looked fine. So I then took the cabinet into the shelf and partition editor. I clicked on the fixed shelf in question. Then I right clicked and selected construction settings. Then I clicked ok. Returned to main and the spot holes were applied. If you are changing the construction parameters for a existing partition, Fixed shelf or adjustable shelf .You will have to take the cabinet into the shelf and partition editor then select the part/Parts that you wish to apply the changes to then right click and select construction settings make the necessary changes then click ok. Return to main and the changes should show.
What other parts did you adjust after you got them to show?

The other parts I had adjusted prior to a momentary appearance were the deck and top.

Re: Lock Dado w/ Pocket Screw. Spot hole w/ fixed shelf?
Ok I think that have reproduced the issue.
In The main area in cabinet editor I changed the settings for the fixed shelf to butt
I then took the cabinet into the shelf and partition editor and deleted the fixed shelf. Then added it back. I then went back to main. I took the cabinet back to the shelf and partition editor. I selected the fixed shelf and selected construction settings. I changed the fixed shelf to lock dado with pocket screws. Returned to main and sure enough no spot holes. I then took the cabinet back to the shelf and partition editor. Selected the fixed shelf and this time I selected construction settings and selected the lockdadoe with pocket screws again clicked Fixed Shelf construction parameters clicked on ok then ok returned to main and the spot holes were there.
I then went back to the shelf editor deleted the shelf returned to main went back to shelf editor added a fixed shelf without going true the construction settings thing again, returned to main and no spot holes. Went back to shelf editor Selected the shelf and went true the construction setting thing returned to main and they were back.

Thanks Scott,
You really went way and beyond on that. Thanks.
At least I know what to do. Or not to do. Or....
It will work and I'm not crazy. At least not crazy for this reason.
