KD/RTA SETUP

Post by Stephen Tinkler »

Hi, I am having a problem in the tool operation I am trying to machine a cabinet using Hafele Rafix KD/RTA and I have the special tool with the spur on from hafele and I can not seem to get the machine to recognize this and the 5mm drill I need for the male stud, is there any one setup using the Hafele Rafix System.

I assume you are working in metric so just for starters make sure you have the diameters set up correctly in ecabs and control nest. In control nest/tool setup make sure you have selected the "drill" check box. In control nest/parameters make sure you have the box checked in the bottom left hand. It say something like run arc or line as a drill when on the edge of part. That should get you going.

As a side note I add .05 inches to the daylight value of the rafix bit to account for the brad point tip. I also turn at 10k rpm and plunge at 100 ipm.
