drawer stretcher

Post by Ron Sloan »

Is there any way to add a drawer stretcher that I can actually use to set a partition to? Doesn't seem to recognize the stretcher in the partition editor...

Use a Fixed shelf.Adjust the insets to get the width you need.

Thanks for the quick reply Scott!

I figured it out after posting.

One more question. If I want to notch the partition for the stretcher, how do I do that? I can't seem to figure it out. i.e. I want the top of the partition to be flush with the top of the stretcher.

Thanks,
Ron

Hi Ron. When you insert the partition set the top offset to the thickness of the fixed shelf make this a negative value i.e.. -3/4. Then return to main. Select the partition and take it to the part editor. Here you can make a pocket cut for the fixed shelf. I would then take the partition to the constraints manager and constrain the cut so it will keep the notch when the cabinet is resized.
