Build 14

Post by Wally Schneeberger »

I have updated and there are problems. Here is a pic of a cabinet that I was trying to alter and it won't do it. I made the stretchers 6" wide instead of 3" and resized but they don't change. I have closed opened and saved but it doesn't change.

I opened this cabinet --
N&H.hsf
(202.02 KiB) Downloaded 471 times
and changed the dimensions to the ones in the boxes and also changed the stretchers to 6" and then while in main I saved it. Then I got the dimensions that I highlighted and no change in the stretcher.

Wally,

I am not able to reproduce or find any issues with this cabinet. Maybe I am not understand your steps correctly. How are you trying to change the Top Stretcher Front and Top Stretcher Back? I go to construction settings-> Top tab, then set the top stretcher front and top stretcher back to 6", select OK and they change for me just fine. Are you possibly mistaking them for Stretcher Editor Stretchers?? When you say "I got the dimensions that I highlighted", do you mean the part size listed in the tool tip part detail display in your attached picture? One thing to note is that the cabinet has a 5" detached toe set to it, and this will make the cabinet box size 5" shorter in height than what the cabinet height entry box shows. Also, your picture looks like there might be full dado construction on the tops and deck, but they are not set that way on the attached cabinet and you do not mention that in your steps. I tried adding that construction as well and cannot find anything wrong. Am I missing anything here?

I must have been half asleep or something when I was doing this. LOL. I was in stretcher settings not top stretcher and it was not supposed to have any toe kick. I just went and tried it again and everything worked fine. Thanks Scott sorry for the trouble.
