Beaded panels in doors.
Hi guys,
This may be a dumb question, but is there a way to make this door in my drawings?
Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Re: Beaded panels in doors.
Rick,
Do you need "simply" a display component? Or do you need to manufacture them as well?

Re: Beaded panels in doors.
I'd just like them to show up in the rendering. The guys that make my doors will make them.

I would be interested in manufacturing these. Can the hinge holes and handle holes also be drilled from Ecabinets Data. The drawer fronts cut with patterns to match doors and drilled to suit metal sided drawer fittings? Once again from Ecabinets data?

Re: Beaded panels in doors.
Hi Rick
Here is one I did in the part editor and constraint manager.
It would be laborious to do all your drawers and doors because you have to set up every door and drawer for each unit that increases every 50 mm.
It is resizable up to about 50 mm increments
So 300mm unit to 350mm, 350 to 400, 400 to 450 an so on. 2 door units and corner doors and drawers all need individual attention but you get quicker with practice
I suppose once you have set your library you can just pull the one you need.
Hey Neville. Perhaps you could test it out for me and see if it works.
Put your hinges on it and add a handle and see how it goes
I Used the Amana AMA-56102-noBEARING.tol set to a -12mm depth.
In eCabs it looks okay but I think it may leave a divot in the top and bottom rail when machined.
I was trying to make a cutter in the shape manager with a closer profile but for the life of me I couldn't, I tried various shaped cutters more in line with the profile and tried to save as a .tol file, couldn't do it.
I used 1,2,3,4mm configurations extending every line and trimming, no cigar.
Guess I have to go back to the training vids for a refresher

Neville,
I think you would be better off talking to Brad about PanelMetrix rather than trying to do these doors in eCabinets.

Re: Beaded panels in doors.
Hi Kerry,
Yes I might have to talk to Brad. The feature I would like is the machining of hinges and drawer mounting plate to be done and handles drilled. These are done manually by us with a different door program so I can do these door patterns but can't automate it as far as I would like. I will have to check with Brad if they can get this info from Ecabinets and do this flip operation. I am getting sick of wasting time, guys putting handles in the wrong places and messing around manually drilling hinges and drawer clips. I know how good and acurate it can be on melamine faced doors which come off Ecabinets.
Thanks for the door Mark. I will try to find the time to run this but I have lost two guys late last year and can't find any decent ones or indecent ones either. I have taken one of my detailers of Ecabinets back to the floor which he is unhappy naturally about ( sorry Chris if your reading this post) I might have to advertise for a few Yanks to come over on a working holiday. Used to have a guy who lived in California who did 6 months with me and 6 months back home. Did that for 10 years. Didn't think the weather got that cold there. Maybe I am thinking of Souther Cal ? Hope Sydney is going well. Stay away from those coffee shops.
Regards

Re: Beaded panels in doors.
Nevillie, I wrote code to do the hinge holes. Input hinge spacing etc. and the machine cuts the cups holes, etc. I could post if you'd like. it sure beats doing them by hand.

Re: Beaded panels in doors.
(Sorry Rick for the thread hijack)
Hi Neville.
Is that how Sydney is seen from afar, one big coffee shop?
Its not as good as you think it is.
All we make is flat white kitchens with Cappuccino colored doors, If you are lucky you may get a customer who wants a espresso style kitchen.
I know what you mean about finding good workers.
You should try and find a good kitchen barista, nigh, near impossible. ........
Hi Kerry
Does panel matrix integrate into eCabs with visual door display or do you have to take the door sizes from eCabs and reenter them?

Re: Beaded panels in doors.
Hi Mark, Just having a swipe at the Forrest place coffee shop experence. I think that got massive news coverage. Have been advertising for tradesman but being where we are located you either want a sea change or your trying to hide from someone. Can tell you a few stories on that last option.
Yes sorry Rick but its really Marks fault.
Ray if you shoot me your program that would be useful.
The one in case I get spamed is classiccabinetry at gmail dot com

Re: Beaded panels in doors.
For anyone who wants them - the files for cutting 2 hinge holes and 3. I'm in the US - I don't know how these will work with metric. Test em out first. Questions let me know.
