Curved Woodwork

Post by Bill OConnell »

We are about to bid on a job for cabinetry for a restaurant/bar. Although the existing bar will stay, I would like to show that to the client as we propose the cabinetry that goes behind the bar. The bar is curved. I don't know how to do that in eCabinets. Can that be done in eCabs or do I have to go to a different program?

Bill, all of what you have shown in your photo can be designed in Ecabs.
It will take some creative work using the parts editor. If you need help just holler, that's what we are all here for.

Thanks, Dave. Based on your comment, I took a quick hack at a display cube and started seeing the possibilities. I'll give a shout if I get bogged down.

Bill

If you are not machining the mouldings you might want to check out http://www.flexiblemoulding.com. They have everything imaginable in varying degrees of flexibility.

Hey George, why don't you post the HSF so Bill can get a real good idea of how to do this (me too :D )?

Its the same as posting a picture file. When you click the \"Browse\" button, go the the \"Cabinets\" directory to find the HSF file. Typicly, this is C: \\Program Files\\Thermwood\\eCabinet Systesm\\Cabinets plus whatever directory you saved the file in.
