IMPORT BATCH LIST

Postby Zach Froble » Wed, Sep 23 2015, 11:47AM

I am trying to import a batch list of panels from open office saved in xls format. I followed the help file, but still can't get it to work. Any hints or tricks to get this to work.

Thanks,
Zach

Zach,

It works correctly for me if I create the directory named LD ACCESSORIES and save a cabinet named SKIN into it. Make sure your directory and cab name match (unmatched spellings or spaces will cause failure). Do you get any error message when you run it?

Scott,

I tried renaming the directories and cabinet name and still nothing. I am not getting any errors. Is there anything else that could be causing this?

Thanks,
Zach

You mentioned you were using open office. If you do not have excel install on your pc, you need to install excel viewer. It puts the proper dll on your pc that will allow for excel imports.

Rick,

I went to import a batch today and now I am getting nothing again. It worked after I installed the excel viewer, but now nothing.

Any insight to why this is causing so many problems. Should I get a copy of excel and not use open office?

Thanks,
Zach

You have a space after the directory name. May try removing the trailing space.

Rick,

I double checked the file you posted and realized that I had renamed the LD ACCESSORIES directory while playing around and it does work now.

Glad to hear that it worked. All I did to your xls file is remove the space at the end of "LD ACCESSORIES".
