I get asked to make some strange stuff, like this, a tool chest for gun tools.
I am needing to add small drawers but the shelves and partition are recessed and when I select the area I can not select just one area for one drawer.
How can I select just one area? The bottom drawers select correctly, I think it is because the partition is recessed.
Thanks
Tim

Re: Add drawer with recessed shelf and partition
Tim,
I deleted out the shelves and partition in that section and added them back in and it all seems to work fine now. I noticed that the partition and the fixed shelves on the right of that partition were gaped away or not quite positioned correctly. Any idea how you got the cabinet to this state??
Also, I will attach the one I modified in case you would like to review or use it.

Re: Add drawer with recessed shelf and partition
Thanks Scott,
I first added the partition at 3/4" inset then adjusted the partition to 1.5" inset, added the fixed shelves on the left then the right,
when I seen the little gap I assumed it was caused by the 3/8" dado depth that when I added the right side the two hit.
I don't know if adjusting the inset caused the drawer problem or not.
Thanks again for your help
Tim
PS Thanks for the reply on the link, someday I hope to have a Thermwood in my shop
