Interior walls

Post by Carmen Addamo »

Hello all. New to the software but do have some of the basics down. Trying to create a room and can build the perimeter walls but having trouble figuring out how to place my interior walls. For example I build a simple 18' x 24' rectangular room and want to build the two walls a specified distance that create the bathroom or a closet within the rectangular room. So far any interior walls I have been able to build have no dimension lines associated with them so I can't just select them and move them to a specified distance. Could use a little guidance.

If you set your starting point to 0,0 to start building your walls you can calculate where you need your interior walls

and if you turn on your snap and set it to 1 inch it will make it a little easier

hope this helps

Tim, Thank you. That helps. Do you know if there is any way to get dimension lines to these interior walls.

Not sure what you mean, should look like this

Or if you need more, you can take the layout into the "Line Drawing Editor" and add all the measurments
