Cutting a profile on the other edge

Post by Carmen Addamo »

I know I have done this before but cant seem to figure it out today. I have two stretchers, one left, one right. I cut a profile on the inside edge of the left stretcher. Now i need to cut same profile on the inside edge of the right stretcher but the tool profile i created in ecabs is not symetrical, an ogee for example. So what steps do I need to preform to achieve that mirror profile.

I'll post jpeg's of the cabinet and tool. I want to profile the piece on the right side of what would be a fireplace opening. The left side and top have been profiled.

Hi, Carman. Try taking the Part on the right into part editor. Then start the profile cut on the top left of the part. If that is not correct, Start the profile cut on the bottom left. It may take a few tries, or at least it does for me most of the time.
