Minifix Please Help Me
Hi, we are entering the screw holes manually for Minifix connection. No matter what I did. Let me help you sample the cabinet.
We have to make a standard because it requires a side hole.
If the front or rear 50 mm inside is a minifix connection +32 (82) mm, I do a dowel connection.
I can't do these holes all at once. I would be glad if you help me.
I'm doing a minifix cabinet example, we want the ptn file is ready except the dowel hole. The dowel hole will be inside and the minifix will be outside and the recesses will be seated.
Can we add a dowel hole to +32 (82) mm in this ptn file
https://www.dosyaupload.com/630a
Thank you
Yours truly....

Re: Minifix Please Help Me
Hi Ismet
I think this is nearly what you want.
The pattern is left and right handed so it puts in extra holes that you don't need.
I adjusted the holes at the back of the cabinet to come in 60mm instead of 50mm because it was in the groove, but i saw that you can adjust that anyway.
I think it looks okay in Ecabs, but do not trust me, I would do a test unit first to check.
This probably is not the best way to do it but it gets the job done.
Others might have some better tips
Hope this helps
Mark
PS.
I had to attach the cabinet file in the post below
This is the pattern file
I think this works if you download then save the file then change the file extension later.

Re: Minifix Please Help Me
First of all, thank you very much for your interest.
It's not what I want.
Minifix hole for hole hole machine is going standard 18-50-82. I can't indent 60 from the front or from the back.
And you can not have a dowel two dowels that will be a minifix.
Thanks you.

Re: Minifix Please Help Me
Hi Ismet
Sorry for not fully understanding.
I think you want to apply just the 2 holes at the front and back of each shelf? 50mm and 82mm center lines? so no 3rd hole close to the front and back edges?
I could be wrong, but I don't think you can add two different patterns to the same edge? (Does anyone else know?) that's why I made the pattern reversible, (seems to me the unwanted, unneeded hole gets covered anyway)
And so to change the 60 to 50mm just change the construction parameters in Ecabs and save it
Again I am sorry, I think I am not fully understanding.
Also as per your attached cabinet you have used constraints for the second holes, they seem to work good? and do what you want them to do? so as I said i don't fully understand, you may have to explain more what you are trying to do?
Does anyone else understand what Ismet is try to do?
Sorry for the confusion
Mark

Re: Minifix Please Help Me
Mark thank you for your interest.
What I want is like this picture.
1 dowel 1 minifix. The Minifix will be out and the front will be 50-82 from the rear.
I tried to explain in the picture. and I'm loading a closet.
Thank you.

Re: Minifix Please Help Me
Hi Ismet
I think the way you are doing it now with constraints is your best option.
As I said above, while in Ecabs while there are many variable options pre-programed into the software, the ability (to my limited knowledge) to add a left and right pattern as per your requirements is not one of them.
That's why I suggested a universal pattern for left and right where you just ignored the unnecessary hole.
So, as far as I can understand, with my understanding of the way Ecabs works, I would do it like you are doing it, just make your seed cabinets with restraints and develop all my units from there.
Somebody else may have a workaround
Sorry to not be more useful
Thanks
Mark

Re: Minifix Please Help Me
Ismet,
Are the dowel hole and the minifix hole the same size?

Re: Minifix Please Help Me
Ismet,
You can create a pattern with the dowel hole but you cannot mirror it so if the dowel is to the right of center it will be right of center on the front (82mm to center from the front edge) and right of center on the back (18mm from the back edge). The only work around is to use the three hole pattern that Mark created and use the holes you need and either plug the empty hole or leave it empty. It appears that the shelf will hide all 3 holes anyway. Being able to mirror the pattern might be a reasonable request for a future build I am not aware of another solution.
