Drawbar not Working!

Post by Terry Davis »

The drawbar on our CS45-510 isn't pulling the tool holders in tight I can can grab the toolholder and wiggle it around. After the machine picked up a tool and started running i heard a vibrating sound and I immediately stopped it. The toolholder is clean and so is the cone, all pressures are normal.

Did you find a resolution to this?

We had the opposite issue last week where the machine wouldn't let go of a tool despite multiple attempts. After after a combination of rebooting and multiple (failed) manual tool swaps the machine finally dropped the tool.
After inspection we found no damage or debris in, on or around the spindle or tool holder in question. I don't like when issues "magically" go away...

We had this issue and turns out we had to modify the coordinates of where the tool was being picked up and dropped off. It wasnt going low enough so sometimes it would work then other times it didnt.
Our service company helped us with this in the end
