Inset Drawer fronts behind Door

Post by Stuart Douglas »

I have a cabinet design that incorporates inset drawers behind a tall door. Is there a way to get dboxes WITH fronts behind the door, inclusive of the hinge plate pattern? I can seem to get this to work the way I'd like. TIA.

So this is how I was able to approach this...more than one way to skin the cat...blah blah blah

I created the internal drawer fronts using the inset in the door/df dialog and added associated overlay doors as display doors. I took a similar sized cabinet gable that had the boring pattern already applied and opened it in the part editor. I saved the geometry for the cruciform plate bores in the contour editor and applied it to the gable in the cabinet with the inset drawer fronts. I'm sure that this geometry can also be properly constrained to be parametric, but I didn't get that far, since I had only 2 cabinets with this detail.

Still interested to see if there is a native way to do this, albeit not a detail most customers would endeavor to do in a cabinet.
