I am trying to adjust the inset on the top rail of an angle front upper corner cabinet. when I apply a setting of -2 to the left and right setting an inset of -4 appears on the right side. I can't get the left side to move. same happens with the mid rail adjustment. HELP

John,
Try changing the outside scribe value on the left stile. This will move the vertical left side style, from right to left or vise versa.
What are you trying to accomplish by doing this? I am just curious.....

I have inset the top of the styles and I want the top rail to go to the sides of the cabinet. then I will cut an arch in it so the cabinet has an arched top. going to be a bookcase. the styles will be fluted and meet the bottom of the top rail. thanks for the reply, I will give your suggestion a try tomorrow. thanks, John

John
Why not just use Toggle Overlap? Right on a corner of the face frame (in the Face Frame Editor) and select Face Frame Options -> Toggle Overlap.
Do this for each corner that you want to change.

Ummm, why would you want to toggle the overlap on a mid rail? It can't be done on anything but the top and bottom.

Ok, looking at your cabinet, it looks like you want to hav an 8\" top rail. Is that correct?
If so, what you need to do is define a new board stock that is 8\" wide and use that for the top rail.

You used all insets on that one. You can inset any rail but you can only toggle overlap on a top or bottom rail.

I changed the top rail size t0 7 1/2 stock, worked out fine. just curious why it won't it let me do insets on the corner cabinet like I did on the cabinets in the previous post?
