custom layout

Post by Mark Taylor »

Does anyone know how (and/or if it's possible) to turn off the auto sizing feature in the cabinet layout area.

Or can anyone tell me why it wants to resize a 30\" box into a 30\" space?

Thanks

Mark

I think where you define default dimensions, there is a place where a gap between a cabinet and appliance or between cabinets etc can be set. Make sure that it is either set to 0 or to the gap you want. HTH

Thanks Paul...but I have all the clearances for cabinets and appliances set to zero.

So if there is a small gap between cabinets that is intentional the only way to prevent the cabinet from resizing is to go into preferences and set up the \"clearance\" prior to trying to set the cabinet.

That is a bit annoying eh Mark. I just place my cabs in the room and then move them after.

Maybe the programers can pu a toggle in there to turn this off.

It just seems so strange that; if it asks to resize the item and you click no it should go in the room the specified dimensions.

Michael-
I have had it ask me if I would like to resize the cab to 200" to fit here -- more than a few times and when I click no then I don't have a cabinet anymore.

Wally,

That's what I mean. It doen't allow you to insert the cabinet (if you don't want the adjusted size). You can stop that by not putting it into the opening or turn the insertion to free... hence, what is snap for?

This might not be \"just a simple task\" but would be nice to see on a futere version. Untill then I would like to see the lawless gremlins first. eh?

Cheers...

Your right Rick...it's more than annoying!

I agree with Mike it would be nice to have a toggle to turn the feature on or off...but even more simply if you choose no, leave the cabinet \"as is\" to be placed. I wouldn't mind it asking me if I want the cabinet to resize - but if I click on \"no\" it doesn't mean I don't want to set the cabinet.

We certainly need the features that we got to operate flawlessly first and then get to the bigger and better.

I agree...I won't argue that point.

However, I've had very few problems since the new update. It seems like they have resolved a good number of the issues they were struggling with before.
