Hello
I am new to eCabs. I am printing out a dimensioned drawing from the LDE.
I am printing it out to a pdf. The presentation of the fonts looks awful. They are blurred or fat.
I need them to look crisp.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Steve

Re: LDE Printed Fonts Look Awful
I dont have a printer big enough to print out Architectural sized paper.
When I print out a plan on a typical letter size the fonts look crappy.
So I thought that maybe if I printed it to a pdf in an architectural size, the fonts would look crisp.
But not the case.

Are you changing the paper size settings in eCabinets (file -> print setup) before sending to a PDF?
Also, try changing fonts and make sure to use a True Type font of an appropriate size. If you try to enlarge a 12 point font when printing, it won't work very well...use 36, 48 or even 72 point.

Re: LDE Printed Fonts Look Awful
I had trouble with my cad software and PDF files. I switched to using a program called Desktop PDF to create the PDF files.
All my text and some graphics cleaned right up. My problem was not the program but the PDF writer I used.
At the time, I think it was Adobe.

Good.
I use PrimoPDF and it is nothing short of outstanding. You can find it here if you'd like to try it.
