I did not back up, but I do have all of my hole patterns. I think that solves my problem. it was obvious. I was worried that I could not cut the hole patterns for the hinges. but we can. I actually like this better... yet another progressive upgrade for the program ...

Hey guys,
I seem to have not properly installed the latest update, or lost my hardware library. I have a blank hinge and slide library. no vender no product etc.
please point my in the right direction. I'm sure I just missed something obvious, as I searched the forum and could not find the answere ...

so everytime I take a whole room to the LDE it is a 3d copy,
what I have been doing is taking the room for the top view, then highlight only one wall at a time and copy/paste onto another page untill\ all the wall elevations are drawn... I noticed that when you are in the custom ...

my system is the exact recomended ecab system in 2006.

windows xp pro
intel pentium m
processor 2.13 GHz
1.60 GHz 1.00 GB of ram
NVIDIA quadro FX Go 1400

I may be due for an update.
any suggestions? or add ons. or easy adjustments? new system? or just deal with it?

if you decide to make the doors longer becarfull about hinge boring.
I am doing the same thing now. lower the doors and add valance behind doors and also a 1/4" skin up under to conceal any wires.
very clean look, maybe time consuming but we are used to doing lots of extra work to get finely tuned ...

I am doing a little better now, but it is still so time consuming.
when I use insert table, I have to hold the curser over the line for maybe 10 seconds before it can highlight and be adjusted.
same with picking certain noeds.even when I zoom way in and hide doors etc. Is this my grafic card ...

I think I need some help on bone head questions.....

1. how are people printing LDE drawings from ecab?
when you press the print icon it prints the yellow background.
I seem to get cartoon type drawings. thick lines, choppy angle lines, etc.
what I have been doing is printing to ms office ...

the LDE is a great tool in ecab, but when printing, the lines are so thick/bold, compared to a cad drawing, is threre a way to adjust the resolution? the line enhance seems to show more or less parts behind the scenes of the cabinet, which is great and very helpful.

something that happens to me, maby a clue:
say I design a cabinet( using global full dado, so I do not change the depth anywhere else, maby chang to butt joint like on a back ), save it, then change a few things like add shelves or partitions, remove back, etc. then return to main in cab editor ...

dan, sorry I forgot to attach the files, I have tried 4 times now to send the files and they will not go through, maby I can try later in the evening.
perhaps that may be my problem, I use aol and when there is a lot of traffic it is very slow.hmm? thank you in advance,

to be more specific, for example- I will design a cab with 5/16 deep blind dado, send it and the left side is 5/16\" but the right is 3/16.
my computor shows both 5/16 his shows the 5/16 L 3/16 R
