Re: Cabinet Finish
Kerry,
I personally have used both and really have no problem using either method, I just got to using the ML Campbell stain base because it was more consistant. Yes you are correct in the fact that you have to be carefull when wiping it back off. If you let it puddle up, you will have problems ...

Re: Cabinet Finish
the easiest thing to do is apply a clear stain base (this is the same as the stain but without any pigments added). Once it is sprayed or wiped on, let sit a minute and then wipe off. Let dry and then apply your stain. I use to use a wash coat but later learned from the MLC rep that the stain base ...

Re: Cabinet Finish
If you are using a Lacq. product, use a clear stain base first and let dry before applying the stain. You will have to use more than one coat but it will prevent it from blotching. Another thing you can do, thin down your stain and build up to your final color. Building up will prevent blotching as ...

Re: Fixed shelf protruding from cabinet
I noticed you also have a gap on the right side of the shelf, I went about it a little different than you, but I corrected that problem as well.
Hope this will help you

Re: free door program
Unless they changed the program in the last few months. It will not work. I emailed the program to Justin prior to his layoff and he could not get it to work either.

depending on their budget and how bad they want it to match. It might be cheaper to purchase another end table and rob the handles.

I have been using it for years with no effect. Spray it straight on the tool bed and start ripping and jointing.

Re: tool holder question
try some Lamalube. It is used to lube Plastic laminate when routing the edges. I have found that it works great on table top surfaces and is not as expensive as top coat. It will make your wood slide like owl grease if used on the joiner with no ill effects on the wood it self. I found that WD40 ...

Re: KD Rafix boring bits
The router will cut the hole without the dedicated tool but you will not be able to use the flush mount rafix connectors. I purchased my tooling from Hafele and it works great. (I personally prefer the rafix connecters that are flush fit) You will have to tweak the daylite value a little to fine ...

Re: KD/ RTA Fitting Question
John, with the cabinet you posted, just place a KD fastener on the top of the part going into the deck. Another thing you will want to make sure of, The KD Fastener that is on the deck and overlapping the stretcher, make sure you use FLUSH mount fasteners otherwise you will have a lip to contend ...

One thing I forgot to mention. Be carefull with parts that only have one fitting on either end. The part will spin round and round on the pins.

Re: KD/ RTA Fitting Question
I have done this many times as well with the negative offsets and everything works fine. Another thing you can do if this is a seed cabinet. Manually place your holes in the parts editor and use constrants so that you can resize your cabinet and not have to change your pos. and Neg. offsets ...
