Re: Thermwood at the AWFS Show in Las Vegas

Hi Fred, I-Cut is a camera and software combo with the camera mounted next to the spindle and the software installed on the controller. When printing signs, for instance a screen press, the force that is put on the material when printing can cause distortion or skewing. The same goes for the other p...

Re: 20-20 TECHNOLOGIES AND THERMWOOD WORKING TOGETHER

Hi George, At this time there is nothing that will take a design from one to the other. Hi Michael, This should not affect eCabinet members as this is a link for manufacuturing. This does give Thermwood machine owners another way of producing cabinets for clients though. 20-20 sells either new desig...

Re: Thermwood and Microvellum

Hi Steve,

We do not have a "direct link" with Microvellum so they will need to create a post for your machine, or you can take DXF files from Microvellum and bring that into Control Nesting to nest and write the code for the machine.

Re: Solide arborite, 3/8" thick

Hi Dan, If Arborite is the same as Arboron then Lynn at Vortex gave us this suggestion. "In that case we have re-designed our series 6100 & 6200 to more of an o’flute geometry  and without chipbreakers which works very well in the phenolics.  The 5800 series also works well.  We ran the 585...

Re: Solide arborite, 3/8" thick

Hi Dan,

I will have someone reply to your post early next week. We used to machine this for our table tops so we should have some specs for you to try.

thanks,

Re: 4th axis area???

Hi Michael,

Although that sounds good, always adding more forums seem to take away from others. Another possibility is to combine the 3 and 4 axis together as a forum. Let me think about this and will let you know.

thanks,

Re: A real Lounge question on site seeing in the East coast

Hi Neville,

If you were heading west more than south, I would invite you to come to Thermwood for a plant tour but I am sure that you would have more fun at some of the other sites mentioned.

Re: Windows 7 and eCabinets

Hi Adam, I am not a computer tech so I will try my best to explain. My understanding is that besides the security issues and other nuances, there is no real difference between Vista and Win 7. Once we get eCabinets working well with Vista (V6), it should work with Win 7. And if there are a few quirk...

Re: Nesting and CNC

Hi Justin, If you have cabinets within your room or batch, you will need to save your job (file, save job as). Then click on the CNC button at the top right of your screen. You will then load your eCabinets job to create the twd file. It is not neccessary to nest within eCabinets before creating the...

Hi Rick and Dan,

We did carve a persons face into a tombstone once along with their name. I think it was limestone from Bedford.
