Re: Feature request
That is one complaint i have with the nesting/optimizing. Some parts such as stretchers, backs, toe kicks, and loose toe bases need to have the option of allowing the part to be rotated if the grain on that part doesn't matter. It can have a significant impact on material yield. Especially when ...

Re: Laser Tape Measures
I just got one a couple of months ago. I got one made by Bosch. Measures up to 200 or 250 feet with an accuracy of 1/16" of an inch or so. Very helpful for those long measurements. Impresses the home owner as well. I believe the cost was $150 or so. It takes a little getting used to. I could see ...

Re: Overhead View / Elevation View
You need to associate them to the wall for them to show up in the elevation view for that wall. Click on the cabinets you want to show up in the elevation view, click on the wall you want them to be associated with, click on the associate to wall icon. If items are moved or placed in freestyle mode ...

Re: drawer slides
That would be a great time saver when changing from say a solid wood dove tail box w/under-mount slides to a ply box using ball-bearing full extension slides. The side inset as well as the depth increment really needs to be tied to the slide being used. You could set up specific drawer boxes for ...

Re: Modify Textures in custom lay out
+1 on the selecting individual cabinets to modify textures. Most jobs we do have a different finish for the island. I have been changing materials for the items that need the different finish, then you can modify the texture for that material.

Thanks for the reply Scott. Sounds like too much trouble. I was just trying to stir some interest in getting this issue changed.

Molding
Is there a way to to keep the molding registered at the bottom of a cabinet when it is re-sized in height. Just a frustration that when you bring a cabinet from the library, re-size the height, you have to take it into the editor and replace the molding.

Re: Draw grain direction when using adjust features
You are wanting the grain to be shown vertical like a door? I don't think you can change the grain direction for drawer fronts irregardless of whether they are sheet stock or board stock. They are always shown w/horizontal grain, but are listed in the cut list w/the grain running vertically. Please ...

Re: Counter tops don't appear in drawing editor floor plan.
Be sure you are not hiding them in the room lay out as well as in the render view. There is something whacky about the counter top editor. When I have unexplained problems, it usually involves a counter top.

Re: Door to door gaps
What I was wanting to do, is place doors/drawers in a FF cabinet w/multiple openings and maintain the door to door gaps and the door to drawer gaps etc., without having to adjust the overlays individually for each opening depending on whether there are adjacent doors/drawers. I see that this is not ...

Re: Bind corner frameless
I'm also a FF guy. My customers want furniture looking cabinets w/raised panel ends, legs, beaded inset frames etc. I don't have a router, and I am wondering how it would fit into our operation. Sure we could cut our plywood and do blind dados to for the basic box construction, but as for the ...

Re: Bind corner frameless
You should be able to use a stretcher attached to the top stretcher and the deck. You can give a negative inset to get it to sit on the front of the deck/stretcher. I added the stretcher to your cabinet. Take a look at it in the stretcher editor and look at how the positions are locked.

Door to door gaps
Am I missing something, or do the door to door/drawer to drawer gaps not work with a face frame cabinet. I want to build a full overlay face frame library, but I have to adjust each overlay to get the gaps correct on doors/drawers that land on the same rail/stile.

Re: Feature Requests
I would also like to be able to lock opening heights of drawers. It is crazy that this cannot be done. Also anything that requires repetitious actions such as matching texture of mouldings on each cabinet in a room. Also adding moulding for presentations. When you change the height of a cabinet with ...

I don't believe that it is a printer driver problem as the image on the screen is altered, not the PDF file.
