We don't use labels anymore so no problem with them sticking. We just write the cab number on the part and our assemblers know where they belong. If this is not an alternative for you we also had a vavumn line that Y'd off the main line over the center of the table and had a flexible hose with wand ...

Thom, And anyone else who can use this info we have found it faster and easier to write the cab number on the parts instead of using labels. Does anyone else do this? You can print barcode labels only which are fine for flipops. This works if your guys don't require alot of additional part info. For...

Dave, I think 18HP is fine for a 4x8 we have a 40HP for a 5x12 with 2 ports. I don't see where the benafit of removing the gasket is. Our gasket is mashed flat anyway. I'm glad that the flycut program works for you however I did notice that its not the spiral in program that works best so I'll repos...

Hi Bill, This is one of the flycut programs that we use on our Thermwood 40. We drew the program in BobcadCam but the Startup Post and end I borrowed from my CV Post. After the initial daylight set up if you use this program to flycut your spoilboard you can adjust the daylight value by the amount o...

Hi All, Are you cutting plywood when this occures? Plywood is usually where we have this problem because the ply never sits completely flat allowing the wasteboard to float up under the material. If your waste board cups up on the edge then flip it when you flycut, don't worry about the grooves in t...

Brian,

We have the latest version 20 and bobnest. Although you may be able to use RN successfully we've never tried. Our next little play project will be bobart. We have only used this once and it seemed to be very easy and comprehesive. I'd like to do more relief and inlay carvings.

Brian, Extira makes a 1.25\" sheet stock if you can use this it will save you time and stability issues. Of course that depends also on your supplier stocking it. As far as finishing goes a good exterior primer and paint works fine. I've had some raw extira on my house for a few years now and i...

Brian,

It's not very difficult to learn. We purchaced both for about 1200$ and have made a few signs with it. Our primary use for it is radius molding. I also have been useing it for making experimental wooden surfboards. It seems to link fine with the router and they provide the post.

Brian,

If you want to use MDF you need a product called Extira. It is amazing stuff and I've used it since it came out a few years ago with no problems.

Forrest

PS. You should look into bobcad/cam, its cheap and works well.

Hey Jeff, Unfortunatly I already have invested over 30,000.00 in CV for machining purposes. Yet they still want more money year after year. If ecabs had the features that CV has I wouldn't be useing CV. There are far to many bugs and nonfunctioning issues with CV. I've found ecabs on a certain level...

Thanks, Jason I will call CV and find out what versions will export. Nick, If you figure it out let me know. It sounds like it may be more trouble than its worth on my end at this time since I do have a full version. My customers however may have to use this. Still can't wait for V5 ecabs. Forrest

RN and other cab software

Hello Everyone, To go along with Paul's DXF posting is anyone useing other cabinet design software with rolling nest? I'm curious as to what exactly is needed from these programs. If they will produce a cutlist will this be in a format that RN reads? My Easy Link contains what I would presume to be ...

Nick, I spoke with Jason yesterday and he said this info could be added it just has to be reformated. That portion of the software is owned by another company and that company will have to make the changes. Thats another reason why we can't easily get a copy of rolling nest for our PC. I guess it co...

Thanks everyone, I defraged and that has helped tremendously. Still would like to see it faster though it took almost 6 minutes to nest and write code for a 36 sheet simple job. I'm thinking in the future I'll break the jobs up. Alot of these are for parts only customers and I'm not sure how they wi...
