Re: Flip tenon on one edge

That's one way for sure! I was envisioning doing it through the construction tab like shown. Wish I new how to draw in another little popout with the flip option.

Flip tenon on one edge

Never seen this discussed but we need the option to flip a tenon on one edge to the other side of the part. IE: on wall cab decks the tenon left and right needs to be on the top edge to remain captive but we need a tenon on the front for mounting frames to be on the bottom edge.

I think the most ...

Re: Anyone Using AI for Presentations?

We took your 1st unrendered pic and told chatgpt to make it more natural looking but it made changes to the layout as well. It can't determine scale from a jpeg. It suggested making an stl from some other programs so it has a better idea of the geometry. Frankly it looks amazing!

For some reason it ...

Re: Anyone Using AI for Presentations?

Hey Kerry, are you using a rendering software with AI or just loading an image? Some AI engines ask for a 3d model to work with for better presentation. We noticed that it doesn't handle depths well in some situations and will do some odd tweaks.

Re: bit specific height adjustment

You could adjust the daylight for that tool. This will allow you to adjust it while running a program. Keep in mind it will affect every operation that tool is used for.

We use a 3/8 DS for tenon and dado operation so changing the daylight would affect the depth clearance as well but we are talking ...

Re: Duplicate Qtys or copy and paste

Just revisiting this. Would be great to replace the "duplicate" options with a simple "copy" option that makes another cabinet that functions similar to "move in wireframe" or place cabinet mode and allows you to place as many as you want. Hit esc when you are done.

Re: Is rendering playing up for anyone else?

Thanks Clint that worked! It seems a little slow but other than that does fine.

It did give me a warning that it may auto update when docking. Never seen that before.

Re: Is rendering playing up for anyone else?

I tried everything suggested so far with no results. I'm running the latest driver release from Jan. 30th, 572.16.

I've also ran a hardware test that shows the card is working.

Re: Is rendering playing up for anyone else?

Hey Kerry, I do use a dell thunderbolt but not all the time and rendering doesn't work when it's undocked either. I'll look into the bios settings and let you know results.

Thanks

Re: Is rendering playing up for anyone else?

Just revisiting this to see if anyone has figured it out. I still can't render on my laptop Dell Precision 7720 w/Quadro M1200. My older desktop is fine but hasn't had an update available in 2 years.

I have the latest driver from Jan 16th. If I switch to force rendering my screen flashes repeatedly ...

Re: Hardware Editor Not Cutting Rectangle Pockets / Cabineos

Here is my pattern if you're interested. It's set 1mm deeper for flush inset. If you want to use a cover cap you will have to add for that and offset the screw hole as well.

This is working well for us but I don't like how control nest chooses to machine it by separating the 2 operations used to ...

Re: Hardware Editor Not Cutting Rectangle Pockets / Cabineos

Well I can't say I've ever come onto the forum to post something and had the very first post be something similar.

I'm getting the pocket to machine just fine. One thing you should change is the pocket should only be the depth of the 16.5mm hole.

One thing that I'm trying to get the machine to ...

Re: Phantom parts

The problem I had was the cabinet was placed behind another so it was really hard to select the parts I wanted to hide. In the end I just left them and dealt with a few extra lines showing up. I think making them toggle on and off in LDE is the best option too.

Re: Phantom parts

Thanks Kerry, that is definitely the way it looks. Seems wrong though. Can you think of a scenario that it needs to be hidden in the layout but not in drawings?
