Shopbot Link - Ramping issue

I'm running version 1.0.12 of SB Link and have noticed something I'm not sure is right or wrong. I have ramping setup at 1.5". When the machine is doing dado cuts, there are times that it will perform this ramp when entering the material and other times it just plunges to full depth and starts ...

Cyrstal Reports Crashing

When I try to print labels from eCabinets after I've performed a nesting operation, Crystal Reports does a run-time error crash and promptly exits. I'm trying to perform a flip operation and I can't get to the barcode numbers to tell it which part to load. I'm running Windows XP SP3 on a Dell Optipl...

Re: Fixed shelf protruding from cabinet

Hi Damon, Thank you again for your help. When I try to load the cabinet I get an error dialog that says: "The requested change resulted in an unworkable dimension for this cabinet. Press OK to restore previous settings" When I click OK I get a cabinet that looks like the attached JPG file....

Fixed shelf protruding from cabinet

I'm trying to get the fixed shelf in the attached cabinet to be flush with the back and front of the cabinet. But it seems to be protruding from the back by a little bit. The cabinet side is 15.5" and the shelf is 15.536". I know I'm missing something here, just don't know what?

Re: ShopBot Link - tabs or skin - which takes precedence

Thank you Larry.

So if I set up to have tabs and skins, will the skinning operation route away the tabs or will the skinning operation leave the tabs in place?

ShopBot Link - tabs or skin - which takes precedence

When specifying to leave a skin or tabs on small parts, which takes precedence - skins or tabs? In other words, if I make skin and tab parameters the same - width, square inches, etc, which is SB Link going to use to hold the part in place?

I'm using SB Link 1.0.12.

Thanks,

Re: Stock Molding modofications

Thank you Kerry. I guess with software there are always work-arounds to accomplish the final outcome.

I'll do that and I think the customer will be happy with the results.

Thank you again!

Stock Molding modofications

Is there a way to take the stock molding in eCabinets and modify them? Specifically I would like to use one of the Conestoga base moldings Product ID Colonial-Base-10 Cherry and make it 3.5" tall instead of the default 4.5" tall. Can this be done? If so, how would it be done?

Thank you!

Hi Tim, I know it's a little out of the price range you specified, but I just purchased a new Dell with the following configuration: 224-2684 1 Intel Core2 processor Q9400 (2.66GHz,1333FSB) w/Quad Core Technology and 6MB cache 313-6078 1 Black Bezel Chassis 311-8296 1 4GB DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz 310-93...

Re: ShopBot Link nesting effectiveness

No worries Neville. Chime in any time. ShopBot certainly isn't the only machine in town using the Thermwood code. You guys with the big iron used it long before ShopBot ever came on the scene. Getting a little historical perspective on this has been most enlightening. What is effecting you will effe...

Re: ShopBot Link nesting effectiveness

Hi Larry, When looking at your X nest above, it's interesting to note that my X nest lays out parts along the long (length) axis of the material while my Y nest lays out parts along the shorter (width) axis. Is there something in the Link that enables you to change that orientation? My machine is se...
