Re: eCabinet 6.2.13 update

The new feature that is being worked on is in so many parts of eCabinets and is proving to be very time consuming.

Re: How to use priority settings?

Thanks for the tips Clint.
I haven't spent much time in priorities. We generally have been selecting individual units or parts.

Re: How to use priority settings?

Thanks Clint. :D
I thought there maybe a quick way to do it.
It makes more sense to apply the settings at the nesting stage as well.
The way I was thinking about it would have that cabinet set to nest 1st on every job which would not always be desirable.

How to use priority settings?

Hi guys
I'm trying to work out the best way to set a priority part.
For example in the attached picture I have a part with a pocket. I want to cut that part first when we cut the job.
The way I understand it is priority 1 is the highest , and 2,,3,4 etcetera descend in priority.

So say the batch ...

Re: Flip tenon on one edge

Hi Forest
I see what you are getting at.
This is what I find so informative about the forum.
It give you different perspectives and different techniques of other users.
Ecabs is such a large program and the programmers have added these various ways of achieving the desired outcome.
I never even ...

Re: Flip tenon on one edge

Hi Forrest.

That would be a nice feature.
We mainly use lock dado construction mixed with butt and KDA /RTA fastener
I like it enough to do an imaginary Photoshop of it for your pleasure. :joker:

Re: Problem with parts editor since 6.2.12.2

Hi Myk

This question is a bit old so I hope you got it working.
I just tested it and It still works for me.
Maybe you were forgetting to use the arrow tool to select the geometry?
Selecting the geometry with the arrow tool turns it orange and then right clicking the cutting dialogue should pop up ...

Re: reference of drawer slides

Hi Xan.

I think this is what you want.
If you make a hole pattern like in the screen shot and save it for your drawer runner pattern.
The holes on the left of the red dotted line get applied to the drawer fronts and the holes on the right of the red dotted line are applied to the cabinet sides ...

Re: pilot holes

Hi Xan

If I'm understanding you correctly .
We use the KDA RTA settings for the back with a hardware hole pattern as in the picture below.

Hope this helps

Re: eCabinet 6.2.12.2

Hi Ingbert.
I have been having lots of issues with doors, drawer fronts and drawer boxes as well.
I thought I was the only one because no one else seems to be reporting anything out of the ordinary.

I did run a system repair, (which didn't help) the other day. I am now thinking of doing a total ...

Re: A few questions about the new intergrated profile modeler

Hi Scott
This is why I like the forum.
Sorry I'm not much help to you.
Every one has their own methods and talking about their method enlightens others.
You are probably on top of it, but I'm not sure if you are aware that you can design and save doors now?

Anyway I made a quick, rough cut, and ...

Hi Scott.
You know know more than me, :D , When I get a chance I will give it a try.

Try this link.
It looks pretty much the same as on my machine V7.13

Maybe it will help.

Re: A few questions about the new intergrated profile modeler

Hi Scott.

I think you can do what you you described but I haven't done them that way.
I would like to help but I haven't got around to playing around with assigning a specific tool to a tool path so I will leave that to others.

My 2 cents and its been a while since I was in that section but I ...

Control nesting merge materials disappear.

Not sure if anyone else can make this happen.
I have a job with 2 materials, one 16.2mm and the other shows as 16.2001 (Not sure if the .001 makes a difference)
Nest X.
I want to merge them.
I select the merge button
The merge dialogue comes up.

Now Select the cancel ...
