HI Forrest
I had this happen and one of my guys got a shot on the shoulder by flying puck. I changed the setting to zig zag and it worked ,although in some cases it would alternate between zig zag and spiral for no good reason, probably just one of those days!

I second Bill, most jobs that I run take under a minute or a couple of minutes to nest. There must be something else putting the brakes on things or you are running some really huge jobs. I am going to nest a job of 30 sheets now and I will report back on the time it takes. Watch this space...

As far as the PC in your controller is concerned you are not going to be able to do much. The mother-board is essentially redundant and is only being used to accomodate the special header card developed by Thermwood that sits in an ISA slot. Newer boards simply do not have ISA slots or they are very...

Lable info

Does Thermwood have any intention of putting size info onto the lables and layout diagrams? All the info is there in the system how difficult can this be?

Thanks Dave

I was thinking of solutions along these lines but was hoping for a somewhat more elegant method.

DXF files

The Rolling Nest / Easy link manual only gives very basic information on the use of DXF files and does not expand upon the use of certain layer names such as \"border\". I was wondering which layer I could use to setup a part that only has the outline shape defined which would not be cut s...

The pressure could really be no more than atmosphere, the crucial issue is rather air removal. Your pump is plenty strong enough, I am using a 10HP unit on a bed bigger than 9 x 6 and all but the smallest stuff stays put. My unit will develop near perfect vacuum but as I said the key is the volume o...

Another possible addition for Rolling Nest

Another thing that may be useful for users of Rolling nest is to be able to tell the system to make more than one pass depending on the thickness of the material being cut, viz if I were cutting 30mm MDF I could set up to make 2 passes or 3, whatever the material dictated.

Hi Bill

I occasionally get the same error. You could try upgrading to V4.71 failing that, we manually skip through the code to the line refering to the flip-op part and it executes just fine.

Howzit guys!

Just tried a 2 flute 10mm compression cutter at 16m a min @ 18000 RPM seems to love it. I tried my second Lach Conomic diamond 1/2\" tool at 10m per Min @ 18000 RPM and that started chipping right away although the tool edge looks good.

Morning all! Seem to be getting some contradictory ideas here! Iam particulary interested in those postings mentioning a 26M per Min feed speed. Wow! that is flying. I will give it a try and let you know. As far as the diamond cutter is concerned the one I have is an \"up down\" but the cu...

Cutter speeds

Anyone got any advice on the correct speeds for cutters especially the main outline tool. I am trying a number of cutters at the moment on an experimental basis. I have tried a Lach disposable diamond 1/2\" at 10 M per minute 22000 rpm. That was apparently wrong and the cutter started chipping ...
