Ian,
Control Nesting typically picks the longest edge to start the cut on so it would depend on how the part is dimensioned. With layered DXFs you can choose the entity to start on, or a point along an entity to start on.
Does it cut cleanly when it makes the cross cut, but not on the initial ...

Re: tool measuring issues
Dave,
Is your tool sensor the style that has the four bolts holding the yellow plate down, or is it the style where the cylinder is pinched in the aluminum bracket?

Re: control nesting feature request
This was added with version 7.13 on 12/9/2024. It comes up when you hover over a part. You can control how quickly the pop up comes up from the Screen Properties. If off fall is oddly shaped it gives you the overall boundary size of the off fall. The pop up has a fair amount of information in it ...

Just bug fixes and renewing for the new year. The new feature that is being worked on is in so many parts of eCabinets and is proving to be very time consuming.

Re: How to use priority settings?
Mark,
In the event you hadn't seen it, you can adjust these parameters at the machine level in Control Nesting for any parts loaded in by going to Edit, then Override Parameters. This includes eCabinets parts, Excel files, DXFs, manual panels, etc. It would require Control Nesting 7.13 or newer to ...

Re: ecabs has only 9 days left
Should be releasing today. Each year we must expire the software on December 1st due to licensing agreements with third party softwares used within eCabinets. So we will release at the latest November 29th as our friends in Australia tend to beat us to December 1st each year.

Re: How to use priority settings?
Mark,
Think of priorities in terms of ribbons, 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place , etc. So you are correct in thinking that you'll need to set all other cabinets to a priority of 2. You can do this quickly by selecting your cabinets in the Batch, go to Global Item Modification, Nesting Parameters tab ...

Re: Eye candy
Luck was on my side last night. As I was laying in bed, doing last minute scrolling on Facebook, I saw a friend had posted her photos an hour earlier. Annoyed that I once again missed it. Kept scrolling, and saw a post from her sister that was only 30 minutes ago. Convinced myself to head outside ...

Scott,
Not at the user level. There is no user interface to change profiling settings so anything profiled is not supported. Anything you can get done profiling wise will likely be a happy accident.

Re: Parasolid Error
Kerry,
There is either a singular cabinet corrupted or multiple. Can the person who sent you the job open it? If they recreate the job, save it, close eCabinets, and then are they able to reopen the job? It may be an issue in creating the job or a cabinet going into the job is corrupted.

Re: bug with user defined edge operations
User Defined Operations are independent of everything else. Their spacing and distance between is utilized the same as KD/RTA and Pocket Screw, but they are not linked together. You need to set the Operation Parameters to match your KD/RTA Construction Parameters to get the counts to be the same ...

Re: Water hose
As Stuart mentioned, its just when there is condensation on the evaporator core for the A/C unit. If there is whole bunch of humidity you might see it spit a bit of water. But its only conditioning the air within the control cabinet. So as long as the cabinet is mostly sealed as it should be, the A ...

This can be done by modifying the label file so the off fall labels are not created, but the part labels are. You can reach out to CNC Automation for information regarding a custom label for what you are wanting.

Re: Feed override with handheld
Scott,
Depends. If you are using the handheld that has the wheel on it for pulse control, no. If it is any of the others (G56, G57, T20E), then yes. Those have a Feed 0% button to set it to zero, then a Feed %+ and Feed %- buttons to adjust the feed rate up and down. Pressing Shift the Feed %+ will ...

Re: Nesting to the edge of sheets ?
Unfortunate side effect in the software. If we make it nest perfect in the corner on both axe,s nesting will be drastically slower. In Nesting Parameters, nesting in the Upper Left and Lower Right will force it all the way in the corner.
