Re: Surface Chipping During Ramp-In

Your pre-ramp depth looks a little shallow. You'll want to make sure your pre-ramp depth is enough to get past the upspiral of the tool before it begins ramping in. You may need to drop RPMs a little bit too, maybe to around 15,000.

I gotta say, I feel personally attacked by Grok. It seems to see right through my customer service tactics that rarely fail me

Re: How to do text on part labels

Gene,

The most simple way for you would be to change the user part name to include an indicator for interior or exterior or both finish work needed, or to assign an edge an edgebanding of a specific name that would be the indicator. ECabinets doesn't have a way to send along free text that would be ...

Re: Attn: Forum admin (Dean?)

Ah shoot, I wonder if someone accidently hit the toggle for 56K forum instead of DSL?

I brought it up to the guy who handles the forum here a little while back, I think he said something about what we are doing right now is holding off the bots, despite what we see at the bottom for non users ...

Re: Difficulty changing the directory to save cabinets

Mark,

In the Item Window on the right, for the cabinets that are shown there, click the little down arrow below the cabinet image and choose Explore. What is the file path for the location that gets opened? Try one of your folders instead of the Standard folder.

And the location you are pointing ...

Re: Weird issue on latest version

Something we can't pinpoint. There is a process not ending for eCabinets, so it can't open. Two options we have found work arounds for now. You can either after closing open Task Manager, then close the eCabinets process that is still running. The other option is before launching eCabinets, right ...

Kerry,

Nothing hidden anywhere on a setting for this one. I've added it as a feature request for the software engineers.

Re: Constraint manager request

It would be nice if we had an option to shift/select multiple constaints and make equal.

I know I've thought of it before, but I can't remember if I've added it as a request so I'll get it added. I would see this as using CTRL to select multiple, then choose Edit, Edit Constraint and you can ...

Re: vcarve post question

Tom,

This is the XY zero position call for those using the Fixture Offset Table to call that location, typically for those with pop up pins its the corner opposite of home. If you are not using the Fixture Offset Table, you can delete this line, then replace with what you are using (G901, G51, G92 ...

Re: Problem with adjusting back of this cabinet

I just ended up deleting the back, saving the cabinet, adding the back and then it would adjust for me. Not sure why it refused to adjust.

If a formula is in use in the Formula Editor, you cannot adjust the inset by typing in a number in the box.

On another note; is there a way to add ...

Same for this one. I'm not ignoring it, just been teaching class. I'll try to dig into it this week.

Not ignoring this, there's just a lot to read through and wrap my head around. I'll try to get to it in between phone calls and emails this week.

Re: Problem with adjusting back of this cabinet

Don,

The back inset is using a formula to inset it the Toe Kick Thickness. Choose the blue f(x) for the back inset of the back, choose the C to clear, choose Top Thickness. OK out of the menus, should be good to go.

Re: eCabinet 6.2.13 update

Ingbert,

Which hole did you move? Can you post the cabinet so I can take a look at it?

Its likely something is broken on the cabinet, and moving the hole is what brought the issue to light?

May not be the case for your issue, but often I have a customer send in a cabinet saying when they move a ...
