Kerry,
I was pretty sure that was the case. Thank you for the confirmation.
Thank you for taking the time to explain for me, I really appreciate it!

Re: 11/16 or 3/4 ?
Thank you Ralph and Kerry again! I am expecting my first cabinet to go to CNC to be instructive. I am expecting it to be flawed although I'm trying to get as much correct as possible before it goes to the machine. While I'm trying to do as much of the learning vicariously as I can, I'm sure that OJT...

Re: 11/16 or 3/4 ?
Ralph, Thank you for your reply. I'm still learning to get all the Ps & Qs straight. If I have a stile that's designed to cover 2 - 11/16" sides that are side by side, then that stile needs to be 1 3/8" wide, right? If I design for 3/4", then the stile would need to be 1.5" w...

Re: 11/16 or 3/4 ?
What would be the downsides for specifing the material as 11/16 when going to CNC? It's actually 11/16 and I'm specifying rails and stiles accordingly, shouldn't I just use 11/16 in the thickness? What I don't understand is if I specify a nominal 3/4 and it's really 11/16, then aren't some parts tha...

Re: Hinge hole patterns not appearing in cabinet
Kerry, That's good to know. I am using Conestoga style doors. If I specify the stock for the doors as sheet stock, will they then show? More importantly, will they cut? All of the hardware does show up on the Buy list On my slide drawers (the ones using the KV 4800) they are showing in the dbx alrea...

Re: Common top and bottom rail between cabs
Thanks Scott. That was a really nice video and I could tell a lot of thought and preparation went into it's making. It was very instructive for me.
Good to know about the "needs to touch" requirement and I'll be watching the videos soon.
Thanks again!

Re: Hinge hole patterns not appearing in cabinet
I was reading on the forums from a while back that there was a problem when the cab is face-framed. I suspect that was fixed, but I saw no confirmation of that. Any chance that bug is still active?
What should I look at next?

Re: Hinge hole patterns not appearing in cabinet
Thanks Kerry,
For the hinge, I can see that they have a depth of 13mm on the negative thickness and they are on the left of the Y axix. Render shows the pattern as I expect.

French Cleat - how to edge profile a stretcher
I've poked around some, but I don't yet see how to make a french cleat out of the top nailing stretcher on my upper cabinet. Can anyone point me to the proper place to put an edge profile on a stretcher? Related to that, what are the proper angles that should be used? I was just thinking 45 degrees ...

Re: Common top and bottom rail between cabs
Scott, you may already have a video that goes into in-depth explanation of associations. If so, just point me to the proper video please. I'm cruzing through your videos, but there are so many I would appreciate a point to the right one.

11/16 or 3/4 ?
I'm using China Birch for the cabinet box and it has a true thickness of 11/16" I read or saw on a training video that I should specify 3/4" for the material. I'm afraid I can't find the reference to that piece of advice and I am, quite frankly, suspicious of it. I'm thinking I should crea...

Hinge hole patterns not appearing in cabinet
I'm sure I'm doing something wrong as I can't get the hinge hole pattern to appear in my cabinet. I have a base cab with a single drawer on top with a Blum Tandem + Blumotion slide. These hole patterns show up. In the lower, I have two sliding drawers using KV 8400 slides and those hole patterns sho...

Re: Common top and bottom rail between cabs
Woah!! Scott, that's sweet! :D That video was an excellent example on laying out a cabinet, using the formula (f(x)) Editor, Opening Locks, Associations between parts & partitions, the Part Editor, the Constraint Manager and the Advanced features of the Stretcher Editor. I gleaned a lot of info ...

Re: Hardware hole pattern library - such a thing?
Ralph, thanks for the reply. Are you talking about the Hardware Hole Editor? I do see several patterns in the standard directory there. The first one on the top is hinge-blum-angledcliptop-bore_3.ptn and there are many more there. Nothing that tells me that hole pattern x will work with vendor y, pa...

Hardware hole pattern library - such a thing?
Does anyone know of a hardware hole pattern library? I think I've read something to that effect, but I can't find any reference despite searching on the forums and googling. Anyway, I've got several, very popular slides and hinges for which I need hold patterns. Things like KV 8400 series of slides,...
